Charlottetown
Here is the text with emojis added, which can make the content more vivid and interesting: Arrived at Prince Edward Island by self - driving and checked into Holiday Inn in Charlottetown. 😊 1️⃣ Charlottetown is the most artistic town on Prince Edward Island: it boasts Victorian town charm, colorful historic buildings, the magnificent St. Dunstan's Basilica, as well as scattered art galleries, museums, and theaters... Who says artistry only belongs to Quebec City? Charlottetown is equally impressive. 🎨 Cow's ice cream originated in PEI. The old port store closes at 5 pm, and unfortunately, I didn't get to try it. 😔 2️⃣ St. Dunstan's Basilica in Charlottetown is the most famous Gothic - style building on Prince Edward Island. Unfortunately, it suffered a severe fire in 1913 and was later restored to its current appearance. As a national historic site, St. Dunstan's Basilica showcases its ancient charm through its distinctive masonry, spires, and stained glass windows. 🏰 3️⃣ Anne of Green Gables It's said that you haven't really been to PEI if you don't visit the Green Gables. So I came to check in early in the morning. This is the place where the author of the book once lived. She grew up, made friends, spent her old age, and passed away here. She went through a lot in her life but remained strong. She worked hard at writing all her life, had two or three close friends, and loved cats. It's an excellent book that records every bit of her growth. Inside, you can find related books and souvenirs. 📖🐱 4️⃣ Cavendish in PEI National Park is a famous red sand beach. A daily entry fee of 60 CAD per vehicle is required. We brought a camper van and camping chairs to sit on the beach. My kid and I put on swimsuits and played in the sea for hours. The seawater was very cold, but we gradually got used to it. The seabed here is extremely flat; even when you walk far into the sea, the water only reaches your waist. 🏖️👙 5️⃣ It's said that there are more than 80 lighthouses on PEI. We visited one, and next to it was another beach with extremely fine sand. Across from it is Richard's, a popular lobster roll shop. 🚦🍤 6️⃣ Driving along the coastal road in the national park, we passed a red sandstone formation. The seawater erosion has formed an arch. Unfortunately, due to the impact of a hurricane, the small section that was originally connected is now lonely separated from the main body. The sandstone surface is also at risk of gradually disintegrating. 🌊⛈️ #PrinceEdwardIsland #MaritimeProvincesRoadTrip #EnjoyLife #OfCourseToRecord #RoadTrip #Gothic #Beach #Lighthouse #SandBeach #Swimming #CanadianLife #CanadianTravel #Photography
