A Coffee Shop in a Century-Old House in Fort Worth ☕

A Coffee Shop in a Century-Old House in Fort Worth ☕🏡 On the long weekend, we’d planned to take our little one hiking at Marion Sansom Park to get close to nature—only to find the trail very unfriendly for a pregnant woman 😅! Gravelly slopes, tangled roots, and at least 40 more minutes to reach the small waterfall… so we decisively changed plans and searched for a nearby café to rest. Unexpectedly, we stumbled upon a coffee shop transformed from a century-old house! The building dates back to the early 1900s, with that classic Southern rustic style—wooden structure, wide porch, peeling paint full of character. Pushing the door open felt like stepping into a time tunnel: an old ceiling fan slowly turning, walls showing original wood grain, worn furniture glowing with a warm patina, even the air carrying a mingled scent of aged wood and coffee. ☕ The coffee itself was just okay, and the latte art was honestly a bit rough—but who cares? Sitting here with a latte, flipping through a magazine, watching sunlight filter through the blinds… that’s already a treat. Heard the first floor is the café, and the second floor is probably where the owner lives? That “shop below, home above” setup feels like something out of an old film—romantic and leisurely. Curious, I looked up the house’s background: priced around over $200K, monthly rent just a little over $1,000! Renting an old gem like this at low cost, turning it into a café and living space—now that’s a cool Life Style 🏡✨. The yard faces the street, though simply maintained, with a few wrought-iron chairs under the trees—perfect for listening to the breeze and watching passersby. Surrounded by homes from the same era, the whole street feels quiet and textured, as if every house has a story to tell. The only hiccup: I overestimated my pregnancy caffeine tolerance 😖. Having already had a homemade latte in the morning, another cup in the afternoon brought a slight headache. Guess I’ll have to during pregnancy~ But this accidental visit turned an otherwise ordinary afternoon into something . If you also love old houses, yesterday’s charm, and that imperfect coziness, come sit awhile in a corner café in the old town. The coffee might not be top-tier, but the warmth of years steeped in brick and wood is more memorable than any flavor. #OldTownCornerCafe#CenturyHouseCafe#FortWorthExploration#SlowLiving#PregnancyDiary#WeekendStroll
