A Cozy Bistro in Glendale | Bacari

Recommendation Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️Dish Taste: ⭐️⭐️Overall Ambiance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bacari in Glendale is the kind of spot you’d pick for a laid-back evening—warm lighting, soft chatter, and a vibe that feels casual yet put-together, perfect for grabbing drinks with friends or a low-key date 🥂. But while the atmosphere shines, the food was a bit of a mixed bag—here’s a breakdown of what we tried, ranked from best to “meh”: 1. Asian Pear & Brie Pizza ($15) Hands down the only dish I’d actually recommend here! The crust is thin and crispy, with that satisfying crunch when you bite into it 🍕. The star combo? Creamy, melty Brie cheese paired with sweet, juicy Asian pear—their flavors balance each other so well, no heavy richness at all. And the best part? Unlike the other dishes, it’s not overly salty! Every bite is a nice mix of savory, sweet, and crisp—total win. 2. Noa‘s Cauliflower ($12.5) This one was just okay. The cauliflower itself has a tender texture, but the first thing you’ll taste is salt—definitely on the saltier side. The sauce coating it tastes similar to Buffalo sauce (tangy with a tiny hint of heat), which helps cut through the salt a little, but not enough to make it stand out 🥦. It’s a decent veggie option, but nothing to write home about. 3. Scallop Medallions ($17.5) The scallops are a good size—plump and look impressive on the plate 🦪. But sadly, they’re pretty greasy and heavy. The searing is fine, but there’s no bright flavor to balance the richness—after a couple of bites, it starts to feel cloying. For $17.5, I expected more; it’s just “average” at best. 4. Octopus Pizza ($17) The biggest letdown of the night. The crust stays crispy, which is nice, but the octopus on top is dry and chewy—like it was overcooked or left out too long 🐙. It’s also lightly salty, which adds to the “meh” factor—there’s no depth to the flavor, and it just can’t compete with the pear and Brie pizza. All in all, Bacari is great if you’re after a cozy place to hang out and sip drinks—its ambiance alone makes it worth a visit. But if you’re coming for the food, stick to the Asian Pear & Brie Pizza—skip the rest unless you’re feeling adventurous! #GlendaleBistro #BacariGlendale #LAEats #CozyBarsLA #PizzaLovers #SeafoodBites #GlendaleFoodie #DateNightSpotsLA #CasualDiningLA
