A Creative Southeast Asian Flavor Journey!
I heard Langbaan had won an award, so I made a special trip to taste how delicious it really is—and it certainly lived up to its reputation! This restaurant specializes in creative Thai cuisine, with an overall style that is both refined and full of surprises. However, it’s important to note that reservations are a must before visiting, and parking can only be found on the street, which is a bit of a hassle. In terms of price, it’s approximately $200 per person (since we added small dishes and drinks). The service was very thoughtful—the servers carefully introduced each dish, making the experience perfect! 😊 The appetizer platter was simply stunning! Especially the coconut milk scallops, whose rich Southeast Asian flavors instantly awakened the taste buds~Every dish had prominent spice notes, reminding me of the Michelin-starred restaurant I tried in Thailand—unique and authentic. 🌿 The Wagyu steak was an additional order. Although a bit pricey, the meat was incredibly tender—highly recommended! The curry lamb was also braised until tender and paired perfectly with rice~This dinner featured quite a few seafood dishes. The Thai milk tea was fragrant and delicious, and the specialty drinks were on the sweeter side but very refreshing. 🍹 Overall, I loved the “unexpected” flavor combinations here—so creative! The desserts were also quite good, providing a perfect ending to the meal. 💖 #PortlandThaiFood #PortlandCuisine #PortlandFoodExploration #LifeInTheUS #Langbaan #HiddenGemRestaurant #GlobalFoodieSquad #ThaiFood
