A Day of Eating in Monterey | From Brunch to "American Food" Diary
☀️ Breakfast: Wave Street Cafe ✅This seaside restaurant is totally worth waking up early for! We ordered the signature Crab Benedict—the hollandaise sauce was light and not overly rich, the crab meat was sweet and fresh, and the potatoes were crispy on the outside and tender inside. 🌞 Lunch: Full Moon Mandarin Cuisine ✅A hidden gem we discovered when craving Chinese food! The Sichuan boiled fish used fresh flounder in a fragrant, numbing broth that wasn't overpowering. 📷 The dry pot pork intestines were crispy and chewy, though a bit oily (perfect with rice). Our group of four ordered six dishes, and the scallion pancakes and three-cup chicken were devoured too. 🌙 Dinner: Jacks Monterey A delightful surprise in our hotel! The honey-glazed pork ribs used local Monterey honey for a perfect sweet-savory balance, and the side of garlic sautéed spinach was unexpectedly delicious. 🍝The bartender's special Monterey Mule (with local hot sauce instead of ginger) was a fun twist. #CaliforniaFoodGuide #NorthAmericaTravel #MontereyEats
