A Day Trip to Nara (2) ๐ฟ
After Todai-ji Temple, I fed the little deer while walking to Nigatsu-do, a free and lovely spot. ๐ฆ From there, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Nara City. ๐๐บThe adjacent lounge even offers complimentary self-service tea and water, perfect for a refreshing break. ๐ต Next, I passed by Sangatsu-do and arrived at Hachiman Shrine at 3:50 PM, just in time to see them start closing the doors. ๐ฐ๏ธ Then, following the path to Wakakusa-yama, the bright and sunny weather made it an ideal place to relax and unwind. If you have time, definitely take a moment to let your spirit soar here. ๐ ๐๐บI continued taking photos along the way and reached Kasuga Taisha at 4:30 PM, the only shrine that requires an entrance fee. ๐ซ The style is classic red architecture with lanterns. The tour won't take too long, but the dark room filled with lanterns is quite unique. To make the ticket worth it, I also watched the shrine officials perform a ceremony. ๐ฟ ๐๐บ By this point, I had seen most of Nara's attractions. On my way to catch the bus, I passed by a beautiful expanse of grassland. Nara is truly a paradise for deerโthey are adorable, but their calls are quite surprising and completely shattered my romantic notion of "the gentle sound of deer." ๐ฆ We got off the bus at Nara-machi and strolled back to the shopping street near Kintetsu Nara Station. ๐๐บ Many restaurants had closed by 8 PM, so we ended up at Genki Jinn, where we first enjoyed dipping noodles and then used an induction cooker to make our own porridge. It was quite an elaborate experience! ๐ #JapanTravelTips #NaraTrip #KasugaTaisha #Wakakusayama ๐
