A Different Kind of American City β Minneapolis π
I'm on a business trip to Minneapolis and after work, I've been exploring the city, eating, and shopping. This city is gradually changing my impression of American cities... π’π Today, I visited a Japanese izakaya called Zen Box Izakaya. The decor is very creative and the food is quite tasty. πLater, I took a walk around the Stone Arch Bridge, passing by the Mill City Museum and the Guthrie Theater. Right in front is Gold Medal Park, where people are having picnics on the lawn, taking photos on the hilltop, and lounging in hammocks in the sun. The atmosphere is really nice! πΏ π’π There are many modern and beautiful apartment buildings around, giving me a sense of being back in my home country. πThis area perfectly combines new and old architecture. Although many places are still under construction, the streets are spacious and clean, and there are no strange people around. π’π Overall, it feels very safe and relaxing, like a mix between an American coastal tourist city and a big city downtown. π πAfter living in a small town for a while, I really envy the convenience of not needing a car to go out for meals, shopping, and walks. The only downside I've noticed so far is the extremely cold winters. π’πWhen I was here on a business trip earlier this year, I experienced a wind chill of -26 degrees Celsius. It was impossible to stay outside for even a second! π¨οΈ #Minnesota #Minneapolis π
