A Fascinating Cowboy Gem in the US West

1. We started our journey by car from Salt Lake City in the morning, aiming for Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. And Jackson town, lying deep within the Rocky Mountains, was an essential stop along our way. It took us roughly five hours of driving before we reached the town and were ready to have our lunch. 😎🚗🥪 The drive itself was filled with anticipation as we witnessed the changing scenery outside the window, each view hinting at the unique charm that awaited us in Jackson town and the nearby parks. 🌅🖼️🚙 2. The name "Jackson" of this town traces back to Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States. Once, he purchased the land of Wyoming from the French for just $1,500. Later on, in 1890, Wyoming became the forty-fourth state of the United States. Americans usually have a great admiration for power and wealth and are fond of naming places after presidents. Thus, this town got its name after the president, and the local airport is named "Jackson Airport" as well. 😃💲🏬 This naming custom showcases how historical figures can leave their indelible marks on local places, endowing the town with a rich historical flavor and an added attraction. 📜🏡✨ 3. The highlight of this town is undoubtedly the "Antler Arches Garden" right in the heart of the street. In 1960, people came up with a creative idea and used around 7,500 genuine antlers to build antler arches at the four corners of the park. Since then, over half a century has passed, during which these antler arches have surely experienced numerous improvements and refinements to reach their current state. 😊🦌🖌️ When standing under the clear blue sky and looking up at the magnificent antler arches, one might wonder if they are truly made of real antlers. In a world where it's sometimes tricky to tell the real from the fake, the locals have confirmed that they are indeed authentic! And there's an English warning sign on one side, indicating that anyone who tries to take away an antler will be fined $250. ⚠️💰💸 #DiscoverJacksonTown #USWestCowboyCharms #TravelSpot
