Travel Notes: Grand Teton National Park
1. After exiting from the South Gate of Yellowstone, we drove swiftly and soon entered Grand Teton National Park. While sipping coffee and looking at the distant mountains, I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow! It's amazing!" Grand Teton National Park, located in Wyoming, USA, is renowned for its magnificent snow-capped peaks, serene lakes, and abundant wildlife. The majestic Teton Range is reflected in Jackson Lake and the Snake River, creating a picturesque landscape. Whether it's hiking, boating, camping, or simply stopping to admire the sunset, it's an excellent place to experience the grandeur and tranquility of nature. ππποΈ 2. Generally speaking, one day is sufficient. Perhaps because we had just come from Yellowstone, we didn't feel as astonished immediately. If it's your first visit, you might actually consider visiting Grand Teton first so that you can be amazed all the way along. Of course, there are quite a number of classic attractions here. - Teton Range : It's the soul of the park! The magnificent snow-capped mountains are covered with snow all year round, making it perfect for taking stunning photos. Viewing spots include Snake River Overlook and Oxbow Bend. π·ποΈπ² - Jenny Lake : It's the most popular lake, crystal clear and ideal for boating and hiking around. Recommendation: After taking a boat across the lake, take the Hidden Falls & Inspiration Point trail. π£ββοΈπ§π³ - Jackson Lake : It's the largest lake, with the snow-capped mountains reflected on its surface, offering breathtaking views at sunrise and sunset. Recommended activities are kayaking, fishing, and photography. πΆπ£πΈ 3. Snake River : The river winds gracefully, setting off the snow-capped mountains. The classic photography location of Ansel Adams is right here. Recommendation: Snake River Overlook. πποΈπΌοΈ - Oxbow Bend : It's a super classic photo spot where the Teton Mountains form a perfect reflection in the water. The best time is in the early morning or at dusk when the water is as smooth as a mirror. π π§ποΈ - Moulton Barns, Mormon Row : These are historic wooden barns with the majestic Teton Mountains in the background, a must-visit spot for photographers. πΈπ π - Hidden Falls & Inspiration Point Trail : This hiking trail leads to waterfalls and viewing platforms, allowing you to overlook the whole panorama of Jenny Lake. Recommendation: It's suitable for beginner hikers and offers great views. π₯Ύπ¦π 4. Wildlife Watching : Moose, bison, elk, bears, eagles... You might encounter them at any time.
