A great place that's seriously underrated! Haha
Another strong recommendation from my friend's Slovak girlfriend! We ate local cuisine at a place near Bratislava Castle (and there's a lovely spot nearby, not in Fig. 8, which is perfect for drinks but unrelated to the recommendation). The service was great, maybe because there were few tourists (quality might drop if it gets popular). On a Saturday night at 7 pm, no booking was needed—we just walked in.❤️❤️❤️ They offer free tap water with unlimited ice refills. Their menu has a "traditional" section featuring a meat broth called "kapuatinica" (cabbage meat soup), which was fantastic—full of meat with a tangy and spicy kick. I usually dislike schnitzel as it's dry, but their chicken schnitzel was juicy, served with plenty of sides. Another traditional dish was cheese dumplings. Though the name didn't appeal to my Chinese palate, they were delicious—the dumpling wrapper reminded me of pao mo.😍😍😍 Two of us had four dishes, two drinks, and two soft drinks for 40 euros. It's super close to Vienna, just a 30 - minute drive to Vienna Airport. If you're staying here for a day, don't limit yourself to Chinese food—give this a try!🌸🌸🌸 Also, check out theirdrink, "kofola." Created during Soviet control as a herbal - flavored cola - like soda since Coke was off - limits ( Capitalist ), it's sold in supermarkets—taste a piece of history! #Bratislava
