🎭 A Hidden Gem in Colorado Springs – I Spent All Day at This Museum!
Today was my day off, and I went exploring downtown Colorado Springs with Hedy and Claire. By chance, we stumbled into a museum hidden in an old courthouse – and it turned into a full day of surprises! ✨ 📍 Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum Finding the entrance was a puzzle itself! The door is quirky – you have to press and wait for a "click" before pushing it open. The main entrance has a sculpture ), so don’t get confused! The staff were incredibly warm. They noticed my water bottle and offered to store it for me. When handing me the visitor guide, they reminded me it was reusable and to return it later – eco-friendly touches like this won me over instantly ♻️❤️. The museum is packed with treasures: Vintage bicycles 🚲 Classic Barbie dolls with stories to tell Exquisitely embroidered traditional clothing 👗 Walls covered with captivating paintings 🖼️ Sunlight streaming through stained glass windows made the whole atmosphere dreamy – I just wanted to sit and soak it in ☀️. Fun fact: Colorado Springs is known as “Olympic City USA” 🏅! It’s home to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee and hosts thousands of athletes training here every year. The sports vibe is strong! On the second floor, you’ll find: A real horse-drawn carriage 🐎 A restored old-fashioned pharmacy A life-sized historic hotel room setup – so immersive! Even a functional antique elevator (!) and wheelchair-accessible routes ♿️❤️ And guess what? There’s a kids’ zone too! A reading nook with books 📚 A play area with interactive toys and tiny tables and chairs 🧸 Who knew a history museum could be this family-friendly? Oh – and they offer FREE postcards! Some have blank spaces for you to write or draw on 🖊️💌. I almost mailed a piece of Colorado Springs to everyone I know!
