A Hidden Gem in Torrance โ€” The Pinnacle of Japanese Yakitori ๐Ÿฎ

A yakitori spot in Torrance that my friends call the absolute best in LA! ๐ŸŸ Monkfish Liver Salad Silky smooth with a tender bite, balanced with a sweet seafood flavor โ€” the perfect starter. Highly recommend! โค๏ธ Special Chicken Heart I think itโ€™s the heart valve part? Crispy texture with a smoky charcoal aroma, not dry at all. The glaze is just right โ€” not overly sweet or salty. Limited supply โ€” sold out when we tried to reorder! ๐Ÿ” Chicken Meatball Same teriyaki glaze as the heart โ€” soft, not too dense, with wood ear mushrooms for a nice crunch. I usually donโ€™t love meatballs, but this one โ€” Iโ€™d order again in a heartbeat. ๐Ÿฎ Thick-Cut Beef Tongue If you love beef tongue, order this blindfolded. Charred outside, tender and juicy inside. Served with lemon and ginger-scallion sauce โ€” three flavors in one skewer. Wanted more, but it was gone! ๐Ÿ” Chicken Cartilage Unlike Chinese-style heavily seasoned grill, Japanese yakitori highlights the natural taste. This one is just salted (a bit heavy-handed though ๐Ÿ˜…). Hand-cut cartilage with some breast meat โ€” crispy and chewy, the more you chew, the more flavorful it gets. ๐Ÿ” Chicken Skin Soft texture with a lightly charred surface, sprinkled with salt to bring out the chicken fat aroma โ€” unforgettable. ๐Ÿ” Chicken Thigh A yakitori staple and a true test of skill โ€” juicy and tender as expected. Glazed with teriyaki and paired with grilled scallions โ€” so satisfying. ๐Ÿ” Grilled Chicken Wings Instead of whole wings, theyโ€™re cut open โ€” easier to grill, more flavorful, and simpler to eat. Slightly less juicy because of the cut, but still worth ordering. ๐Ÿท Osaka-Style Pork Belly & Tomato Roll Grilled pork belly wrapped around a cherry tomato, topped with mayo, okonomiyaki sauce, and dancing bonito flakes. Decent but a bit rich โ€” the tomato helps cut the grease. Not a standout. ๐Ÿข Oden Fish Cake They also serve oden! This fish cake isnโ€™t the usual ramen type โ€” itโ€™s large, soft, and soaks up the broth well. We also tried daikon, but the radish flavor was too strong and the broth a bit salty. Still, the fish cake was delicious. Overall, an amazing experience โ€” 9/10 for both ambiance and food. Until I find something better, Iโ€™m calling this LAโ€™s yakitori (best of the best)! #BBQ #JapaneseGrill #Yakitori #LAEats ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ”ฅโœจ๐Ÿ˜‹
