A Hidden Gem in York for Bird Lovers 🦅 Get Up Close with Raptors

🔎 There’s a lesser-known spot in York that’s a must-visit for bird enthusiasts, the 【York Bird of Prey Centre】! 📎 This center is a sanctuary for the breeding and protection of rare birds, housing over 100 birds of 45 different species. Many of these birds are extremely rare, 🔊 including the “Peregrine Falcon,” a second-class protected species in China, and there are two of them here! You can interact with these birds 🤩, have eagles, peregrine falcons, and owls perch on your arm for photos! You can even pet them! Besides raptors, the center also houses a wide variety of owls 🦉, giving it a Harry Potter magical world vibe. There are daily bird flight shows and baby bird training demonstrations, where you might get the chance to hold a tiny owl chick in your hands~ 🚗 Located about a 15-minute drive from the center of York, there’s no direct public transport, but it’s easy to get there by Uber. Adult 🎫 admission is 11 pounds, which includes full-day access to the park, Bird/Eagle Handling (experience holding birds and eagles), and raptor flight shows. 🕒 Opening Hours: 10:30am - 5:00pm every day except Thursday #York #YorkUK #YorkUniversity #York #YorkUniversityUK #UKTravel #HiddenGems #YorkTravel #TravelGuide #YorkTravelGuide #TravelDestinationRecommendations #LocalRecommendations #StudentsAbroad #CheckInSpots #UnitedKingdom
