A Hidden Gem of a Western Restaurant Under the Swiss Alps
📍 Environment: A Healing Alpine Chalet Under the Snow-Capped Mountains Restaurant Julen is located in the heart of Zermatt village. The restaurant is inside a hotel, featuring wooden decor and warm yellow lighting. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with the charming Alpine atmosphere🏔️! The ambiance is cozy and perfect for a gathering. It’s also a Michelin-recommended popular restaurant! 🍴 Food: The Google reviews didn’t lie—it’s a genuine high-scoring surprise! Highly recommended👇: First, choose the "Build-Your-Own Salad Buffet" 🥗: The king of value! In Switzerland, where vegetables are expensive, you can enjoy an unlimited variety of fresh vegetables and freely mix different dressings. It’s incredibly refreshing and filling! The restaurant’s main specialty is lamb: They use black-haired sheep, which is not gamey or smelly at all. The meat is tender and the portions are generous. Ribeye Steak for Two: A must-order! The thick-cut ribeye is perfectly cooked (recommend medium-rare), and the portion is so large that two girls will definitely be stuffed. The meat is incredibly flavorful—enough to bring tears of joy! We finished with fruit, haha, but it also came with a small dessert. 💰 Value for Money: In the pricey town of Zermatt, the portions and prices here are incredibly reasonable😭. The service is also very good—wallet-friendly certified! ℹ️ Practical Information ▫️ Address: Bahnhofstrasse 30, 3920 Zermatt ▫️ Average Cost: 40-60 CHF ▫️ Tips: Reservations are highly recommended! The salad bar is available for both lunch and dinner, and the steak meal is for a minimum of two people. Finally, here’s a stunning night view of the town, taken with a regular camera! The path to the restaurant is incredibly picturesque—it feels like a fairytale! #Switzerland #Travel #Zermatt #SwissCuisine #Europe #RestaurantReview #Skiing #MichelinRecommended
