Zermatt|The Top 1 Restaurant in My Heart
Restaurant Name: Walliserstube This is definitely my top 1 restaurant in Zermatt ! Here are some of my personal reviews – I really love this place! We didn’t make a reservation. The restaurant opens at 18:00, and we arrived around 17:55, so we just walked in. ❗️If you can’t be there right when it opens, it’s better to book in advance! Because after we’d been eating for half an hour, it got really crowded, and people had to wait for a table~ Lobster Pasta 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The lobster and prawns are super fresh and big. The pasta is perfectly seasoned – creamy, cheesy, and mixed with the sweetness of seafood. The last bit of sauce? I dipped the leftover bread from the cheese fondue in it, and it was amazing! The only tiny downside is that the mussels weren’t that great, not as fresh as the rest. Steak 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I ordered this blindly, and it was a pleasant surprise! The cooking was spot on – around medium-rare, so tender! The last bite with a bit of cheese? Perfection. Everything goes with cheese, right? Lamb 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The lamb was tasty and tender, with a stewed texture. I’m not the biggest fan of stewed lamb, so I gave it four stars, but if you love lamb, you’ll probably love this! Cheese Fondue 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I had a bad experience with fondue in Geneva before, so I was hesitant. But this? So good! Maybe it’s the mix of cheeses – no weird smell or bitterness, just delicious. I’m obsessed! Strawberry Ice Cream & Chocolate Mousse 🌟🌟🌟 🍓 The ice cream is just your regular strawberry ice cream, haha. The chocolate mousse uses dark chocolate, which is a bit bitter (I prefer white or milk chocolate), but it grows on you – after a few bites, it’s actually pretty good Bonus: The service is great – they can help book taxis! The restaurant opens at 6 PM, but the buses stop around 7 PM, so we couldn’t catch one, and walking back was too far. We asked if they could book a taxi, and they did! #HiddenGemRestaurant #Zermatt #Switzerland #Matterhorn #RomanticLifeDiaries
