A Hidden Gem of Indian Cuisine 🌟 Just 300 Meters from the White House

This restaurant is just a four-minute walk from the North Lawn of the White House, perfect for tourists (and power lunch enthusiasts)! The interior is lush and elegant, with live piano performances at certain times. 🎹 Tried the signature Club Thali, which includes chicken biryani and dahi puri chaat (mango yogurt crispy flatbread?). The thali plate is incredibly well-made, almost too heavy to lift! The spinach and lamb were the highlights, and the cheese was delicious. 🍲 The chicken biryani looked a bit plain – no naan on top – but it was hearty and flavorful. The dish was a bit spicy. There was a minor service hiccup, but they kindly repacked it for us. When reheated at home, it tasted even better! Indian cuisine truly is the king of leftovers! πŸ‘‘ The dahi puri chaat appetizer was the best – the crispy shell was delicate and the yogurt was sweet and rich. πŸ” The crispy kale salad also received rave reviews. The best part of the meal was actually the raita yogurt sauce that came with each dish. If you’re taking food to go, make sure to ask the waiter to include it (it’s not provided by default). πŸ“ The Bombay Club #food #OasisInAFoodDesert #DMVFoodie #WashingtonDCFood #GlobalEatingSquad #HiddenGemRestaurant #IndianCuisine #Yogurt
