A Little Slice of Italy in Pangbourne, UK! 🍝

We visited for the first time today and were absolutely delighted with everything we saw and tasted! We arrived at 1 PM and found the restaurant more or less empty—but that definitely wasn’t a reflection of the quality. In fact, it felt like we’d discovered a hidden treasure! 🕰️💎 Angelo greeted us warmly, and within minutes we felt completely at ease. His relaxed and comfortable style assured us we were in capable hands. The menu offered a wonderful balance of classic favorites and some new, unusual dishes—a true celebration of Italian flavors! 📖✨ My wife started with large prawns in a beer tempura batter—beautifully presented and perfectly peeled! 🍤 She then enjoyed a stunning mixed grilled fish selection, including sea bream, a whole squid, and prawns, served with some delicious skin-on chips. 🐟🍟 She finished with a beautifully decorated homemade panna cotta. 🍮 I began with three bruschettas topped with liver and leeks—an elegant and flavorful start. 🥖 For my main, I had the exquisite chicken Milanese with cherry tomato sauce and linguine—absolutely superb! 🍗🍝 I ended with a rich, homemade cheesecake that was simply divine. 🧀🍰 On the drinks front, we started with an ice-cold Ichnusa non filtrata—one of my favorite Sardinian beers. 🍻 We then enjoyed a few glasses of velvety Primitivo and two excellent glasses of rich Recioto—a perfect pairing! 🍷❤️ I can confidently say we’ll be back to further explore the menu. And a pleasant surprise: we found easy and free parking nearby! The surrounding streets are only affected by resident permits between 10 AM and noon—otherwise, it’s completely free.
