A Magical And Free Stargazing Party Is Coming To This L.A. Neighborhood Next Week — Here’s How You Can Join
Meteor showers, eclipses, planetary alignments... The sky and everything that happens up there has always fascinated us. But when it comes to actually seeing these celestial events, there’s often one big obstacle: light pollution (or not having the right equipment), which usually means we have to leave the city. If your schedule’s packed, you’re not up for a road trip, or you just want to meet fellow space lovers, this event will have you staring up in awe, all the way to infinity and beyond. Hosted by the Los Angeles Astronomical Society in one of the city’s most charming neighborhoods, a group of sky lovers gathers for what they call star parties. Armed with massive telescopes, good vibes, and cold beers, they create the perfect setting to meet like-minded people in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Every month, the Star Party Silverlake takes over Sunset Triangle Plaza for a casual night of stargazing, hosted by the Los Angeles Astronomical Society. Locals gather with telescopes, music, and even [beers](https://secretlosangeles.com/best-breweries-los-angeles/) to catch views of planets, the Moon, and distant star clusters. The vibe is social and laid-back, more like a cosmic happy hour than a science event. You don’t need any gear, but bringing a blanket or light jacket is a good idea. 📆 When: Thursday, July 31, 2025. 8 PM-10:30 PM 🔭 [Event info](https://nightsky.jpl.nasa.gov/events/117037/) 📍 Location: Sunset Triangle Plaza, 3700 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90026 Source: https://secretlosangeles.com/silverlake-stargazing-party-la/
