A Majestic Herd Of Life-Size Elephant Sculptures Has Taken Over Beverly Hills — Here’s Where To Spot Them
Just when you thought you’d seen it all in Los Angeles, a majestic herd of 100 life-sized elephants has appeared seemingly out of nowhere in the heart of one of the city’s most iconic and upscale neighborhoods. But don’t blink, as this breathtaking experience is only here for a limited time, and you won’t want to miss the chance to see it with your own eyes. The Great Elephant Migration art installation is a traveling exhibit featuring 100 handcrafted, full-scale elephant figures. After a 5,000-mile journey across the U.S., the herd has reached its final stop at Beverly Gardens Park. But this installation is more than just a striking visual display; it’s a global fundraising initiative to promote human-wildlife coexistence. Each elephant was sculpted by Indigenous artisans from the Nilgiri Hills in South India using an invasive plant species called *lantana camara,* and modeled after real wild elephants that coexist with humans in some of the most densely populated areas on Earth. As the elephants travel, they carry a powerful message: millions of wild animals around the world must navigate highways, farmland, and cities every day. Each sculpture is available for purchase, with proceeds supporting over 20 conservation nonprofits and helping fund wildlife corridors like the [Wallis Annenberg Crossing](https://secretlosangeles.com/la-worlds-largest-wildlife-crossing-milestone/) in California. To experience this moving exhibition, simply walk along four blocks of Beverly Gardens Park (from Rodeo Drive to Rexford Drive) where art, storytelling, and purpose come together to spark awareness and action for the future of our planet. Just keep in mind that while photo-ops and even kissing and/or hugging the sculptures are allowed, it’s not permitted to climb or sit on them. 📆 When: Until August 1, 2025. Parking hours, 7 AM-10 PM 🎨 Exhibit info: Open to the public for free during park hours.📍 Location: 9439 Santa Monica Blvd, BH, CA 90210 Source: https://secretlosangeles.com/beverly-hill-elephant-sculptures/
