A Michelin-Star Chef’s Affordable Breakfast Spot! 🍳✨
LA|Second Visit & Still Impressed Located in Culver City, Destroyer is my current favorite breakfast spot in LA! I’m usually someone who loves trying new places and rarely revisits the same restaurant—but I’ve been here twice now (actually three times if you count the time I just grabbed a drink), and I’m still absolutely thrilled with it! It’s opened by a Michelin-starred chef (one of his wildly creative fine-dining restaurants is right next door!). The space features wabi-sabi inspired decor and a self-service ordering system. The food may look simple at first glance, but it’s full of creative layers and clever combinations. Every detail just feels… cool. 😎 --- [Quick Self-Intro – Feel Free to Skip!] Hey everyone, I’m based in #LosAngeles and love food with depth, complexity, and a touch of curiosity. I also enjoy exploring spaces with great design and a fun, interesting vibe. If you live in or are visiting LA, come check out my profile for more inspiration! 🧡 --- [Food & Prices – Ranked by Preference | ~$50 per person] The first time I came, my team treated me and we ordered almost everything on the menu—and surprisingly, every dish was delicious! Fun fact: ordering the entire menu costs less than $300. They also have a bakery section, though drinks aren’t their strong suit. This time, here’s what I tried: • Loaded Avocado Condit [$20] – A build-your-own sandwich that’s creative, flavorful, yet delicately balanced. • Sweet Corn Porridge [$20] – I’ve been dreaming about their porridge since my last visit! This version was good, but not quite as memorable. • Weiser Farms Sugar Cube Melon [$19] – A seasonal melon sago dessert. The first bite wasn’t mind-blowing, but it unfolds with intriguing savory notes. • Didn’t focus on drinks this time—just tried coffee and sesame options. 📍 Address: 3578 Hayden Ave, Culver City, CA 90232 🅿️ Parking: Plenty of parking available in this industrial area. 🕘 Hours: Monday – Sunday, 8 AM – 3 PM 🌟 Bonus Tip: This street is also home to some of LA’s famously quirky and imaginative architecture—worth a stroll! There’s also a low-key, artsy shopping area called Platform nearby—perfect for a casual wander. Have you been to Destroyer or another breakfast spot in LA that surprised you?
