A Michelin Three-Star by the Mountains and the Sea šā°ļø
I had heard about this restaurant when I was in Paris. Founded by the renowned chef Mauro Colagreco, itās a Michelin three-star establishment. In 2019, it was ranked as the āNumber One Restaurantā in Europe and the world among the āWorldās 50 Best Restaurantsā and has maintained its excellence since then⦠I made a reservation a month in advance, and finally, it was my turn to taste its true flavors. Hahaha The location š” is in the š Menton town, nestled between the mountains and the sea, with a very tranquil surrounding. Upon arrival, we were given a table by the window with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering a broad view. Eating facing the Mediterranean Sea š is truly blissful! The menu is based on four themes: roots, leaves, flowers, and fruits. On the day we went, it happened to be the š leaf theme, featuring the best and freshest local š fish, meat, shellfish, and seasonal vegetables, all sourced from their own organic farm (garden tours can be booked). Each dish showcased the chefās dedication, with creative cooking methods and plating. The deepest impression was of the š bubble mushrooms in picture 7ļøā£. I love cooked mushrooms, but this was my first time having mushrooms with a sashimi-like texture. Each piece was soaked in rich bubble sauce, giving anå „å£ sensation similar to the popping candy I had as a child. Chatting with my girls over a 3-plus-hour meal, from the sunās zenith to its sunset šā¦ Overall, itās definitely worth experiencing once and will be one of my ālifeās momentsā. Those planning to go should make a reservation in advance to avoid the summer rush; itās relatively easier to book in winter.
