A Must-Visit: The Getty Museum ποΈβ¨
It's my second time at the Getty Museum, and the architecture here is the work of the masterful American "White School" modern architect, Richard Meier. His designs are characterized by clean lines, bright colors, and natural lighting, with a focus on the integration of architecture and environment. ππ Whether it's the architecture itself or the classic paintings, sculptures, furniture, and decorative pieces from various eras, there are world-class collections. Be sure to visit Gallery 204, where the masterpieces of Impressionist masters are gathered for a feast for the eyes. πΌοΈπ Among all the works, my favorite is the cover piece, Spring, which is so beautiful it takes your breath away. πΈπ¨ I recommend taking the little train up the mountain to the museum, and walking down to breathe the fresh air of the forest. When you get tired from strolling, have a coffee outdoors or visit the balconies and observation decks of the various pavilions for a panoramic view of Los Angeles. βπ³ Remember to make a reservation in advance, as admission is free. However, be prepared to be tempted by the super shop-able gift shop. Before leaving, I bought a necklace, postcards, bookmarks, and a canvas bag, returning home with a full haul. ποΈπ Highly recommended! π #Museum #LALife #GettyMuseum
