A one-day Citywalk in Lyon 🚠

Lyon is a place where you must make reservations! Especially for dinner—no matter what you want to eat, you need to book in advance! Most places just require booking a day ahead, but do make reservations! This is a lesson learned the hard way 😭 1️⃣ Place Bellecour - The Little Prince Statue At the southwest corner of Place Bellecour, you can see the statue of the Little Prince and his author 📚✨ 2️⃣ Funiculaire de Lyon The funicular takes you straight up the hill. There are two directions: one to the church and the other to the museum 🚡 3️⃣ Basilica of Notre Dame of Fourvière No tickets are needed to enter the basilica, but if you want to go up to the rooftop, you need to book and buy tickets in advance. It’s recommended to book at least a week ahead ⛪️🌇 4️⃣ Théâtre Gallo Romain This museum has both indoor and outdoor sections, taking about 2-3 hours to explore. After visiting the 5th-floor indoor area, you can head straight to the outdoor area to see the ancient Roman theater ruins 🏛️⏳ 5️⃣ Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste After exploring the hill, you can walk down or take the funicular. The cathedral is also free to enter—just walk right in 🕍 6️⃣ Musée Cinéma et Miniature Lyon’s Cinema and Miniature Museum. There are many props from famous movies and exquisite miniature scenes, including a car signed by the Harry Potter cast! The staff were super nice and let me sit inside to check out the interior 🎬🖌️ 7️⃣ Fresque des Lyonnais The famous mural wall—so vibrant and detailed 🎨 8️⃣ Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon Lyon’s Fine Arts Museum, which takes about 2 hours to visit.
