Last weekend I spontaneously spent a day in Tacoma, and it turned out to be incredibly refreshing! 🐧 Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium Home to polar bears, penguins, and sea otters! The otters were super cute—swimming in endless circles 🦦💦. The zoo is shaded with plenty of trees, so it’s comfortable to walk even on sunny days. Great playgrounds for kids – very family-friendly! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 🌸 Japanese Garden (right next to the zoo) Though small, it’s serene and photogenic 🌿. Featuring a pond, a small bridge, and beautiful light filtering through trees – easy to take pretty photos here! 📸 🏔️ Bonus Surprise: Views of Mount Rainier! On the way to Tacoma and from higher spots near the zoo, you can see the majestic mountain in the distance.
