Tacoma Summer Day Trip ๐โจ
Perfect for a relaxed summer day out โ Tacoma delivered lots of surprises! I originally planned to visit the state museum ๐๏ธ, but luckily stumbled upon a free festival right outside! There were artist booths, live music ๐ต, and a super lively atmosphere โ total bonus vibes. Next, I headed to the Proctor Farmers' Market ๐ฅ๐ท. Itโs not huge, but itโs cute โ full of fresh flowers, live performances, and delicious food. I grabbed a freshly made pizza ๐ and enjoyed the sunshine. Then off to the Museum of Glass ๐ฎ๐จ! It felt like a sister museum to Seattleโs Chihuly exhibit โ lots of Dale Chihulyโs works, especially large installations displayed outdoors (so impressive!). The bridge leading to the museum is a piece of art itself ๐ผ๏ธ. While the indoor collection isnโt huge, the live glassblowing demo was even more spectacular than Seattleโs โ so cool to watch! ๐ฅ๐ After that, I popped into the Washington State History Museum ๐๐. It looks big from outside, but itโs actually pretty compact. The model train section is the highlight โ it recreates an old-fashioned town in amazing detail. For dinner, I tried Asado ๐ฅฉ โ not the most authentic Argentine grill, but still pretty tasty! ๐ A fun, easy-going summer day well spent! #Tacoma #SummerInTacoma #MuseumOfGlass #WashingtonState #DayTrip #TravelWA #PNWSummer
