A pig can't eat fine grain| I'll say goodbye to Michelin😅

🌟 Michelin in Palma: A Rollercoaster of Expectations (and Disappointments) 🍽️ I’d been dreaming of this Michelin experience in Palma—booked a week in advance! Lunch was €55, €25 cheaper than dinner, with drinks and cheese boards available à la carte. Spoiler: It left me more underwhelmed than full. 😮💨 🥖 Amuse-Bouche: A Glimmer of Hope First up: “Roof of the Mouth Terminator” (my nickname)—bread with truffle butter. The bread’s crumb was soft, but the crust? Not crispy enough, with a tough, chewy pull. But the butter? Fluffy, with just the right hint of truffle. At this point, I was still hopeful—maybe this would be amazing! 🤤 🍉 First Course: Unexpectedly Familiar Marinated watermelon with thin-sliced raw shrimp, topped with dried fruit crumbs and a sauce that tasted like ice cream mixed with… something. We all agreed: It tasted exactly like the sauce from cold sesame noodles! Not bad, but I kept imagining it over pasta instead. 🍝 🦆 Second Course: A Miss for Some Next: A tata dish. White stuff? Sweet potato purée. Then, raw duck paté with cherries, and a tiny fried ball of foie gras mousse. I (barely) finished it, but my friend noped out—said it tasted fishy. By now, the excitement was fading. 😕 🐟 Third Course: Burned, Not Blessed Grilled fish with sweet potato gnocchi and uni sauce. The fish was juicy with a nice char… but it was slightly burned. Dude, really? 😐 I stopped talking here—just picked at it. 🍛 Fourth Course: Curry, but Make It Bland Curry-braised meat. It tasted… like braised meat. No more, no less. The curry’s color screamed “flavor!” but the taste? MIA. Give me Dongpo pork any day—it’s way more satisfying. 🐷 🍨 Dessert: Almost Redeeming? Finally, dessert! Ice cream that wasn’t too sweet, with a tangy kick. Nice… until I tasted a weird spice note—like star anise, but off. Not terrible, but confusing. 🤨 💬 Service & Extras The staff explained each dish, but the descriptions got shorter and shorter—from “here’s the story behind the ingredients” to just “this is what it is.” Oh, and coffee, tea, and sparkling water? Extra charge. That caught me off guard. 💸 📍 Verdict Full? Yes. Satisfied? Nope. I left yawning, my appetite totally unfulfilled. Turns out, I’m just not cut out for this fancy fare. Give me hearty, flavorful food over “creative” dishes any time. 😌 #MichelinExperience #PalmaFood #FancyFails #FoodieAdventures #CulinaryDisappointment
