A Restaurant That Stole My Heart at First Sight
After coming across the octopus dish from La Corriente La Jolla, I skipped all those hyped spots like The Taco Stand and headed straight to this Mexican seafood spotācompletely captivated by the photos! š« If youāre exploring La Jolla around lunch or afternoon, Iād recommend eating here first before strolling along the coast š. I went after dark, and while many customers had reservations, we managed to snag a seat as walk-ins! The moment our octopus arrived, the reserved guests next to us couldnāt stop staring šāyou could tell they were totally craving it! So glad I did my research and didnāt miss this hidden gem āØ. The staff werenāt overly friendly, but they were attentiveārefilling ice water š§ and sauces promptly. 1ļøā£ Zarandeado Octopus š The octopus was beautifully charred and smoky š„. Along with the roasted potatoes š„ and rice š, we even used the complimentary taco tortillas š® to wrap the octopus. We tried all the chili and taco sauces on the tableāthe green one packed the most heat š¶ļø! 2ļøā£ Soft Crab Shell Taco š¦ Iād been craving soft shell crab noodles from a Thai place lately, but mixed reviews held me back⦠So when I saw this unique taco, I ordered it right away! Absolutely loved itāthe fried aroma paired perfectly with the tall bottle of chili sauce in the shop š. Weād eaten at Tacos El Gordo in downtown San Diego for lunchāthose double-layer corn tortillas š® were seriously filling⦠so we werenāt too hungry by dinner and only ordered these two dishes. We noticed other tables had ordered a huge portion of guacamole š„, probably for dipping with chips or tortillasāit looked incredibly tempting š! #SanDiego #Foodie #SanDiegoTravel #Restaurant
