Find Things to DoFind The Best Restaurants

A restaurant with 3,700 reviews and a 4.8 rating is truly worth it.

Before coming to Lanzarote, I had heard of Casa Rafa's great reputation. After all, it's rare to find a restaurant with over 3,000 reviews and a 4.8 rating. The restaurant's location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from the Green Lagoon. Sitting by the window, you can bask in the sun, gaze at the waves, and enjoy a refreshing and sweet Sangria. It's the perfect relaxing moment after a tiring journey.🐟 We started with scallops as an appetizer, accompanied by the Homemade Mojo red and green sauces that every restaurant in Lanzarote offers for free. The rich garlic butter mixed with basil aroma, combined with the fresh scallops, was so delicious that you wouldn't want to waste a single drop! Be sure to mop up the juices with bread and layer it with Mojo sauce,🤌🏻 you know what I mean.🐟 The Galician-style roasted octopus tentacles were tender with a slightly sticky texture, not the chewy texture we're used to, but it had its own unique flavor. I really enjoyed the local seasoning. Because the ingredients were so fresh, they only needed olive oil, paprika, and a little salt to bring out their natural flavors. For the main course, the fish was also recommended by the host. I originally wanted to order grilled fish, but the host said the ingredients for the grilled fish weren't fresh that day and recommended this local variety that had just been caught that morning. I can't remember the name, but I remember the half-baked, half-fried texture. With each bite, the crispness of the thin batter, the freshness of the fish, and the rich juices all came together in a burst of flavor. It was so good that words fail to describe it. The above review might not be objective, as we had two glasses of Sangria and were a bit tipsy. But the happiness and satisfaction from the wonderful dining experience are absolutely real. All the staff were very friendly and efficient, and their recommendations for drinks and food were genuinely based on your taste and preferences. (For example, we originally wanted to order a large 500ml Sangria, but the waiter recommended we order two single servings instead, which turned out to be more cost-effective: the price was the same, but each single serving was about 350ml. As a result, my boyfriend was successfully taken down by the large glasses...)🐟 In the end, we left the restaurant a bit tipsy, and they even gave us two glasses of dessert liquor, which made us feel even better. We walked out and collapsed on the black volcanic beach, watching the waves, listening to the sea breeze, and enjoying the warm sun of the North Atlantic with our eyes closed.🐟 There is a large free parking lot in front of the café next to the Green Lagoon viewpoint. I recommend parking there and walking the 5 minutes to the restaurant. Don't be intimidated by the queue; the turnover is fast, and you can also book a table in advance to avoid waiting.🐟 #lanzarote #lanzarotevolcanicisland #lanzarotefood #lanzarotetips
