⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Taste of Spain – Exceptional Dining at Casa Rafa
We started with the grilled octopus, which was cooked to absolute perfection, and a tomato and burrata salad — we were told all the ingredients are locally sourced, and you could truly taste the freshness. It was bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. Fresh bread on the side completed the starters perfectly.
For our main course, we shared the seafood paella and WOW — what an experience! It arrived with a little timer, and when the sand ran out, it was ready to be served. Our server plated it for us at the table with such care and artistry, leaving the rest beside us for seconds. It was paella in its truest, most authentic form — rich, aromatic, and full of flavour.
We ended with a shared cheesecake, which was light, not overly sweet, and the perfect finish to a wonderful meal. The sangria was also absolutely delicious.
The ambience was fresh, warm, and authentically Spanish — fine dining with the comfort and soul of traditional home cooking. The servers were polite, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special.
You’ll need a reservation for this spot — and it’s so worth it. Muchas gracias, Casa Rafa, for a truly...
Read moreWe were staying in Playa Blanca and drove out to this restaurant that had been recommended to us. We were not disappointed. We were met by a lovely lady and shown to our table. The restaurant was busy so I was glad that I had reserved a spot. Drinks came quickly after ordering as did the menu. Rafa came over and spoke to us. I love seafood but Hubby doesn't. There was enough on the menu to keep him happy!! I had the mini scallops which were excellent and then a cross between a Paella and a soup rice dish which was exquisite. The huge prawn head was broken off and the juices mixed into the dish. A timer was then set for 4 minutes and then Rafa cam back and mixed everything together. Beautiful. Hubby had the local potato dish and then a chicken escalope which he said was cooked well and juicy. I tried the local wine. We both had the cheesecake which was light and refreshing. All in all the best meal we had during our stay in Lanzarote. Only wish we had found it earlier. Price was reasonable for the quality...
Read moreWas recommended to come to el golfo by the hotel and saw this restaurant was rated 4.8 - arrived at 14:45 and there was a queue at this time. Was impressed with the freshness and simplicity of the food and the owner was just the most pleasant man evidently very passionate about the food and the restaurant. He greeted us with warmth and kindness.
We had the scallops, the garlic shrimps, the tuna tataki, calamari and goat cheeese salad. Our favourites were the garlic shrimps and the tuna tataki. To top it off, a barraquito and some homemade passion fruit liqueur.
We had young children and they had children’s cutlery for them and a highchair.
Beautiful views overlooking the coast. Would recommend booking for lunch. We were advised the waiting times are less significant in the evening (likely as it gets darker with less views if you wanted to avoid the queue).
Thanks for everything! Muchas...
