A Review of My 4-Day Trip to Texas, USA
🥪Thanks to the cheap flights to and from DFW (Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport), I decided to start and end my trip in Dallas. Day 1 Landed in the afternoon and was greeted by a friend at the airport, which instantly boosted my happiness! After being stuck in the village, I felt like I was going crazy, so I decided to come to Texas for some Chinese food. For dinner, I went to a Northeastern Chinese restaurant near Plano. The service was super slow, but I was so hungry that I ended up eating more than half a bowl of rice just with the restaurant’s hot chili oil. My first (and many subsequent) experiences of traffic jams in the U.S. happened in Texas. 🌀Day 2 Shooting is a must-try in Texas as it’s a local specialty. After a bit of target practice, I had lunch at a Hunan restaurant. In the afternoon, I visited the Fort Worth cowboy town and watched a bullfight in the evening. It was very interesting and novel, although it was a bit tiring. Bullfighting is truly dangerous. I stayed at the Hyatt hotel inside the Reunion Tower that night, and I highly recommend it. 💔Day 3 For lunch, I had TEN ramen and then spent some time exploring the Dallas Museum of Art in downtown Dallas. It happened to be the city’s marathon day, so many roads were closed to traffic. I took a short stroll around the city center and then returned to the hotel. In the afternoon, I was supposed to take a shuttle to Austin, but the shuttle station was in poor condition, so I decided to cancel the ticket for the return trip from Houston to Dallas and drive an extra day. 💕Day 4 I spent the whole day relaxing in Austin, doing absolutely nothing, and just enjoying the laid-back atmosphere. For dinner, I had some famous Texas barbecue (I can’t remember the name of the restaurant). I personally thought the pork ribs tasted better than the brisket. Also, Texas barbecue wasn’t as good as I had imagined. #travel #Texas #Dallas #Austin
