A Super Vibe Korean Restaurant I Discovered in the SGV! 🄘✨

A friend recommended this tofu-soup-focused Korean spot, and wow—it’s so popular there’s a line every day! Had to check it out myself~ First impression: the decor is so charming! šŸ” With straw-roof accents and cute little ornaments, it really feels like stepping into a K-drama scene. We went on a weekday at 6:30 PM—sure enough, there was a wait! But the staff was super thoughtful, offering hot tea and water to everyone in line. šŸ‘ā¤ļø Octopus Stone Pot Bibimbap + Clam Soft Tofu Soup I’ve tried many tofu soup combos, but this was the first with octopus bibimbap! The portion was HUGE—I even double-checked with the server to make sure it was really part of the set meal šŸ˜‚ Packed with octopus, mushrooms, carrots, and cabbage, plus that crispy rice crust at the bottom—so fragrant and satisfying! Korean Grilled Short Ribs + Seafood Beef Tofu Soup Again, generous portions—about 8 tender ribs with bold, savory seasoning. The meat fell right off the bone! šŸ– This dish seemed to be a crowd favorite—nearly every table ordered it. Clam & Seafood Beef Tofu Soups Both were loaded with fresh clams! Especially the clam soup—only a few shells but tons of meat inside. Really fresh and hearty~ 🐚 Fried Yellow Croaker We ordered this Ć  la carte, so we got two large fish. If it’s in a set, it comes with one. Usually, it’s hard to tell if fried fish is fresh, but one of ours had roe inside—and it wasn’t fishy at all! That’s a sure sign of freshness! šŸŸšŸ’› Dessert We tried a traditional Korean snack recommended by the staff—something new for me! Coated in brown sugar and cinnamon… it was interesting! šŸ˜„ If you like cinnamon, give it a try~ Side Dishes They had my favorites: seaweed and raw squid salad! Not every Korean place serves raw squid—so that was a nice surprise~ Overall, this place is popular for a reason! Hours are crazy long too: Mon–Thu: 9 AM–10 PM Fri–Sat: 10 AM–11 PM Korean hustle culture is real—but so convenient for late eats! šŸ˜† Young Dong Tofu House 927 E Las Tunas Dr, San Gabriel, CA 91776 Have you been to Young Dong or have another go-to Korean tofu house?
