A Surprising Day Trip to Tacoma! ๐ง๏ธโก๏ธ๐
I changed my plans last minute because of cloudy weather โ originally meant to go to North Cascades, but decided to give Tacoma a try instead. I was worried it might be boringโฆ but it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! ๐๏ธ Childrenโs Museum of Tacoma Compared to Seattleโs childrenโs museums, this one is a bit smaller โ but itโs FREE! ๐๐ A great spot for families with young kids. Simple, fun, and no need to worry about tickets. ๐ฒ Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park We rented a 4-person Surrey bike and rode around the peninsula โ so much fun! ๐ดโโ๏ธ๐ The views were beautiful, and the pace was relaxed. Perfect for a chill afternoon with family or friends. ๐ Stairs & Slides This famous giant slide did not disappoint! Climb up, slide down โ silly fun for both kids and adults ๐๐ง๐ง. Nearby, the Japanese Garden and Rose Garden are also worth a visit โ peaceful and pretty ๐ธ๐น. ๐ช Chambers Bay Park This park truly stood out โ spacious, green, and full of energy! Lots of people were flying kites ๐ช, and the wide-open views gave it a grand feel. Great for a walk or just sitting on the grass and relaxing. ๐ฝ๏ธ Harvest Buffet We ended the day with an all-you-can-eat feast! The price was very reasonable, and the food was satisfying. A full belly with a small bill โ canโt beat that! ๐ฅข๐ Even though I didnโt make it to those famous Mt. Rainier photo spots, Tacoma won me over with its laid-back charm, green spaces, and family-friendly vibes. Definitely a city worth revisiting! ๐๐คฉ Pro Tip: Tacoma is full of small joys โ perfect for a relaxed, unplanned day out. Donโt underestimate it! #Tacoma #DayTrip #WashingtonState #FamilyFun #Parks #TravelWA #PNWLife #HiddenGems
