A Surprisingly Delightful Dinner Journey 🍽️
I went to Jeune et Jolie with a friend recently, not expecting much beforehand, but it turned out to be full of pleasant surprises! 😊 The restaurant offers great value at just $120 per person, and the overall experience was better than I imagined. The first course was poireau and crudo. The crudo was truly eye-opening—fresh and complex in flavor, with the potential to be an appetizer bite at a two-star restaurant! 👏 It was so impressive that it made me smile with the first taste. Next came the toast with sea salt butter—how could something like this ever be bad? 🤷♀️ The toast was crispy outside and soft inside, paired with rich, smooth butter. A simple combination that brought so much joy. ❤️ The second course, pigeon, left a deep impression. The pigeon meat was incredibly tender, melting in the mouth, and the accompanying pastry was fragrant and savory without being greasy. 💯 The aroma was irresistible, and every bite was a delight. Meat lovers would definitely enjoy this! However, the third course was a bit disappointing. The pork wasn’t good at all—the combination of bean powder and fig was just too weird and didn’t work well together. 😕 The trout beside it was okay, but I actually found two small bones in it, which was a bit of a letdown. 😑 As for the fourth course, the desserts, honestly, they were all pretty average. Nothing particularly memorable, just standard sweet treats. 🍰 Overall, it was a great meal! 🌟 I also tried the espresso martini, which was quite tasty—I’d recommend giving it a go. If you’re looking for an affordable restaurant with some standout dishes, Jeune et Jolie is worth a visit. 👍 #FoodReview #RestaurantRecommendation #FoodieDiary #DeliciousShare #GreatValue #DinnerExperience #SimplePleasures
