A treasure restaurant with 20 years of awards
This is my second time visiting this restaurant. It's located in the middle of the left side of Fisherman's Wharf, and the window seats offer an amazing view—you can watch sea lions playing in the sea and on the beach 🦭. The atmosphere is great, and the service is excellent. On a busy weekend, most other restaurants had half-empty seats, but this one actually had a wait! (We waited about 20 minutes.) That just shows how popular it is! Highly recommended dishes: Crab Meat Tower: Fresh and refreshing. The crab meat itself is super fresh, mango and papaya add a fruity sweetness, avocado makes the whole dish creamy and smooth, and a touch of sweet and spicy sauce is the perfect finishing touch. Clam Chowder: A classic at the restaurant. You can choose it in a bowl, in a bread bowl, or in a butter-garlic toasted bread bowl. The flavor is delicious without being greasy, perfectly seasoned. The toasted bread version is great for sharing between two people. It's been a top-rated dish here for 20 years—you can also buy it to go from the little window at the entrance! Grilled Oyster: A light buttery flavor with a hint of lemon acidity. It's different from raw oysters, and I personally love it. Ultimate Seafood Pasta: Loaded with tender, delicious seafood—especially the lobster meat 🦞 and shrimp 🍤. The salmon is tender and large, while the shellfish meat is smaller. The creamy pasta is not too heavy when shared between two. I'm not a big fan of eating a plate of pure fish, so this combination is perfect for me! ✨ Restaurant name: Old Fishermen's Grotto 📍 Address: 39 Fishermans Wharf, Monterey, CA 93940 #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGemRestaurant #GlobalFoodieSquad #Monterey #MontereyTown #MontereyBay #CaliforniaLife #CaliforniaTravel #HighwayOne #FoodExploration
