A trip to Paradise, Kauai!
We just got back from our anniversary trip to Kauai—and it was an absolutely awesome trip that we’ll treasure forever! 🥂 Every moment felt like a little celebration of us, and Kauai’s beauty made it even more special. First off, we stayed in a Beach View room at the Sheraton Kauai, right near Poipu Beach—chef’s kiss 🏖️! We could’ve sat there all day long, no questions asked. The view was pure magic: the sparkling pool glinting in the sun, surfers catching waves just offshore, and the endless blue ocean stretching out to the horizon. We’d sip our morning coffee or unwind with a drink in the evening, just staring at that scene—total relaxation at its finest. And we didn’t just lounge around (though that was lovely too!)—we packed in so many fun activities that made the trip unforgettable! 🎉 Let’s list them out, because each was a highlight: A cruise with Na Pali Navigators 🚤: Gliding along Na Pali’s cliffs, spotting sea caves and waterfalls—pure coastal bliss. A doors-off helicopter ride with Airborne Aviation 🚁: Just like that thrill of unobstructed views, we soared over Kauai’s lush valleys and hidden gems—breathtaking doesn’t cover it. Hiking above Waimea Canyon 🌄: Standing at the edge of that “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” with its vibrant reds and greens—we felt tiny in the best way. Tubing the irrigation canals with Kauai Backcountry Adventures 🛶: Floating along gently, laughing as we drifted through the greenery—such a fun, laid-back adventure. A short hike of the Na Pali Coast 🥾: Now, this one was a bit tricky—we’re 75+ now, and the heat and humidity made it tough! But here’s the best part: just 0.5 miles down the trail, we were rewarded with an incredible view that made every step worth it. No need to push too hard—sometimes the best sights are closer than you think. Every single part of this trip was wonderful. Kauai didn’t just give us a vacation—it gave us anniversary memories we’ll talk about for years. If you’re looking for a mix of relaxation and adventure, this island is perfect.
