Kiahuna Beach — Attraction in Kauai

Our hotel was a few steps away from this beach. This beach is full of activities from surfers to snorkelers. Getting a swim in before the crowds arrive is recommended, as we did. I enjoyed seeing turtles and occasionally random seals. After you're done with the beach, you can wash off any sand in nearby showers, and Little Fish Poipu, a great spot for Acai bowls, is just a short walk away. I am surprised this beach is not mentioned as much as compared to its neighboring beach, Poipu beach. Kiahuna beach is by far my favorite beach on Kauai. We're staying at the Kiahuna Plantation property and it's an easy and short walk to the beach. Parking is along the street unless you're staying at the resorts near by like the Sheraton and Marriot vacation properties. The beach is super clean and the water is swimmable. This was a nice beach, but it can get crowded. Thing is the crowds are mainly those who are staying at the resorts and less locals due to the parking situation. If you stay at these resorts, this is a big bonus. If you are lucky a monk seal will show up! On a cloudy day, it will be cold in the water. Seriously. Major shivers (salute) happen if you go in the water and it is cloudy.
