A trip to Varanasi would be incomplete without witnessing Ganga Aarti
Every evening at 7 PM at ๐Dashashwamedh Ghat, seven priests perform this sacred ritual ๐ to express gratitude to Lord Shiva , rain or shine โ๏ธ. This tradition is said to have continued for thousands of years . Accompanied by the enchanting ringing of bells , the priests offer prayers by the Ganges with sacred fire ๐ฅ, conch shells ๐, and fresh flowers ๐ผ. Watching the sunrise ๐ over the Ganges is another must-do experience in Varanasi. However, due to heavy fog during our two mornings there ๐ซ๏ธ, we missed seeing the sun rise from the horizon . This regret has become my reason to return to Varanasi someday ๐ซ. ๐ถ๐ปโโ๏ธ Beyond the ghats and temples , the banks of the Ganges are adorned with countless colorful graffiti artworks ๐จ. After breakfast , we wandered through the vibrant alleys on a street photography adventure . Exploring Varanasi's old city on foot is truly the best way to experience its magic โจ!
