🏡 A True Home Away From Home! ✨

After an 8-hour flight delay and lost luggage, I arrived in San Diego for a work trip feeling exhausted. Checking into the Palihotel on Sunday night was smooth and welcoming. I wandered into the restaurant/bar for a late-night drink and a snack – and that’s where I met Nikki, the bar manager. She was incredibly friendly, walked me through the menu and drink options, and made me feel right at home. Thanks to her, I didn’t need to go out for dinner at all. Over the next three nights, I had dinner at St. James and breakfast before checkout – all wonderful! 🍸🍽️ Nikki is a true asset to this business. I even tracked down the General Manager, Chris, to share how amazing his team is – from the concierge who helped me with deliveries (including my lost luggage 🧳) to the housekeeping staff who were always helpful. Chris was just as impressive – a clear sign that great leadership starts at the top! 🙌 I’m so grateful to have found Pali and can’t wait to return – not just to the San Diego location, but to others as well. A fan for life! 💖 A Few Helpful Notes: Cozy Rooms: The rooms are small – typical for a big city – but comfortable. Housekeeping in a standard room can be tricky if you have large luggage, so pack smart! 🧳🛏️ Trash & Recycling: It’d be great to have bins on each floor for larger items or food waste. 🗑️ Ice: No ice machine, but the bar or concierge will bring you a bucket if you ask! 🧊🍸 Amenities: The in-room mini-bar products, shampoo, soap, etc., are lovely. 🧴🍫 The Famous Elevator: As a history lover, I appreciate the charm – but form definitely outweighs function here! If you're noise-sensitive, request a room away from the elevator.
