A Weekend Immersed in Berlin’s Museums

On the first Sunday of every month, it's Museum Day in Berlin! On this day, many museums offer free admission. (You can check which museums participate in the free entry event at museumssonntag.berlin). 🎉 Today’s museum tour was around Museum Island (Museumsinsel), including the Neues Museum, Altes Museum, and the Alte Nationalgalerie. Opening hours for all three: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (closed on Mondays) Recommended time for the visit: 7 hours (we were exhausted by the end 😅) Regular ticket prices: €14, €12, and €12 (students over 18 get half off 🎓) Exhibition highlights: Neues Museum: Artifacts from ancient Egypt 🏺 Altes Museum: Exhibits on ancient Greece 🏛️ Alte Nationalgalerie: Sculptures and oil paintings 🎨 Some extra tips: On Museum Day, you can pick up your free tickets directly at the ticket counter. The exhibits have descriptions available in both German and English. The audio guides are also free on Museum Day, especially for the Neues Museum, where the audio guide is really helpful! 🎧 The device is super easy to use; just search for the number on the exhibit label, and it will take you straight to the corresponding content. You’ll need to check your bags at the entrance, but don’t worry, bag storage is also free! #DayTrip #ArtLovers #TravelDiaries #MuseumTrip #DailyArt #Exhibition #ArtMasterpieces #WesternArtHistory #Berlin #BerlinTrip #DailyLife #CulturalSightseeing #49EuroTicket #MuseumDay #BerlinMuseums #MuseumIslandBerlin #NeuesMuseumBerlin #AltesMuseumBerlin #AlteNationalgalerieBerlin
