πAbout the Adventure of Learning to Surf οΌ1οΌ
One day, an idea suddenly popped into my head - I wanted to learn how to surf! π‘π So, I did a quick online search to find out which beach would be beginner - friendly. Since I'd never been to Bali, I finally settled on this place. After a rough consultation with surf schools online, I hopped on a plane and flew there. βοΈπ¬ On the first day, when I arrived at the surf school, I was greeted by a sea of Asian faces. π³ As someone with social anxiety, my immediate reaction was to turn around and leave. But considering I had no other plans, I forced myself to sit there. π£ That day, when my coach approached me, I kept asking him over and over again if he would only be teaching me. π€ Fortunately, he turned out to be a man of few words. π€« He spoke very little and made me feel like I could completely trust him. I told him I was scared of the waves, and I tried my best to believe in him. π On the first day of surfing, I couldn't stand up at all. I swallowed countless mouthfuls of seawater. ππ¦ I was terrified the whole time, and every time a wave came, I wanted to give up. I couldn't wait for the class to end. π« On the second day, I tried to trust him as much as possible. π€ Slowly, I managed to stand up a few times. But then, a huge wave crashed into me, leaving me dazed for several minutes. π΅ I wanted to back out again. However, he kept repeating, "Don't be afraid. These are just small waves." He started trying to help me avoid all the big waves that scared me. ππ‘οΈ On the third day, I could stand up about 70% of the time. I began to trust him completely. He still helped me steer clear of the big waves, and my fear of the waves seemed to have lessened a lot. π πͺ #SurfingExperience #WaterSports #SurfingAdventure ππΊ
