π Acadia National Park β On-the-Ground Report & Travel Guide
This is my fourth time visiting Acadia, and every trip brings something new! This time, I brought my family along for an early fall foliage tour β theyβre visiting Boston and it was the perfect getaway. π π Sept 29: Leaves are about 50% turned β already absolutely gorgeous and totally worth the trip! 1. Sunrise π You need to book a Cadillac Mountain Sunrise ticket 48 hours in advance at 10 AM. Sadly, Iβve never managed to get one π₯Ή. Many on Xiaohongshu recommend Otter Cliff as an alternative. This time, we slept in π΄ but caught a stunning sunrise at Bass Harbor Lighthouse β right near our Airbnb! 2. Sunset π Cadillac Mountain sunset tickets are much easier to get! Book online the day before β only $6. β οΈ Note: You must enter at your reserved time slot. Plan ahead to avoid missing it! 3. Hiking Trail π₯Ύ Strongly recommend Beehive Trail! Difficulty: βββ The last section is steep and challenging, but you can turn around halfway and still enjoy incredible views! The summit is rewarding, but know your limits π 4. Restaurants π¦π Abelβs Lobster: A must-visit every time Iβm in Maine! Their lobster is fresh, flavorful, and more affordable than most places in Bar Harbor. Boda (Portland): Amazing Pad Thai! Perfect stop if youβre passing through. Definitely worth a try. 5. More Highlights πΈ Jordan Pond: Classic spot with serene views ποΈ Bass Harbor Lighthouse: Even the Milky Way looks incredible here β all shot on iPhone! π All of these are Acadia must-dos! The next 1β2 weeks will be peak foliage season β the perfect time to visit! πβ¨ Pack your bags and go catch the fall magic! #FallFoliage #AcadiaNationalPark #Maine #MaineTravel #Lobster #Hiking #MilkyWay
