Adelaide 3 Days 3 Nights Free & Easy Trip
Just sharing my girls’ trip to Adelaide~ We didn’t research thoroughly and ended up staying at a pretty remote Airbnb, so we rented a car for the whole journey 🚗 Day 1 Picked up the car pretty late 🥲, so we just explored Chinatown for food and vibes. Lots of restaurants, but honestly… super disappointing 😭 EVERY place we tried was a letdown 💢 Day 2 Set off at 9 AM ⏰ for Umpherston Sinkhole (Cave Garden) Reached Tantanoola Caves around 2:30 PM. Adult tickets around $10+ 🎫 The cave formations with light effects were breathtaking! A guide shared cool historical background too 📚✨ Photos turned out amazing 📷 Drove 30 mins to Blue Lake 💙 – but it was cloudy that day. Honestly… besides the blue water, not much wow factor 🙃 10-min drive to 🌺 Umpherston Sinkhole. From the top it looks like a big pit with flowers… but down inside? Photo gold! 📸 On the way back, we took a different route. The views + sunset 🌇 got me dreaming of a full Aussie road trip 🚙💨 Day 3 Pink Lake 💗 2.5-hour drive to the highly anticipated Pink Lake 💕 Turn in where you see the snake statue 🐍 – but the lake was dry 😢 You could kinda see a hint of pink… but major letdown. Had to tell myself “we’re here, so make the best of it” 🥲 All photos heavily edited after lol 🎨 Headed to Hahndorf German Village in the afternoon 🏡 The architecture was charming, and the streets lined with maple leaves 🍁 totally saved the mood after the pink lake flop. Randomly picked a place for German pork knuckle 🍖 – a bit too salty though, not as good as Brisbane’s 😔 Overall vibe of the trip: Always on the road 🛣️ Very few rest stops or eateries between attractions – almost all meals were from gas stations and convenience stores ⛽🍫 If you’re coming to Adelaide, pack snacks + always fill the tank before hitting the road! #Adelaide #TravelAustralia #ViewsFromTheJourney
