🦀 Adelaide Crab Season Guide

Time to get crabbing in Adelaide! (Best from Oct-Feb) Here’s everything you need to know for a successful crab adventure – don’t forget your rake & sunscreen! 📍 Hotspot: Henley Beach When? Go at low tide – wade in until water reaches your calves. How? Look for sandy holes, rake the spot, and watch crabs scuttle onto your rake! So fun! 📌 Must-Know Tips 1️⃣ Bring a crab gauge (or ask fisheries officers nicely – they might lend you one! 😉). 2️⃣ Measure correctly! Not from the biggest spike – measure from the "armpit" (see Fig.2 blue line). If the gauge fits, release it! Also, let pregnant females go. 3️⃣ Bring ice! 🧊 Crabs spoil fast in heat. No ice? Head to Dublin Fruit & Veg – $5 for a big bag (friendly Chinese owner!). 4️⃣ Limit: 20 crabs per person/day. Don’t get greedy! 🌊 Happy crabbing, mates! #Adelaide #AdelaideTravel #CrabSeason #SACrabbing #AdelaideAdventures
