Iβve been to Adelaide three times β once by plane βοΈ, and once on a kid-free road trip from Melbourne π. On the way, we stopped at β£οΈ Grampians National Park and stayed overnight. Day 1οΈβ£: Adelaide City Walk University of Adelaide β beautiful campus with a lake and the famous "PR Bridge" Adelaide Central Market π Rundle Mall ποΈ State Library of South Australia π Adelaide Botanic Garden πΏ Art Gallery of South Australia πΌοΈ β features original works by famous artists. My art-loving dad said the collection was impressive! Day 2οΈβ£: Hahndorf German Village π This place is stunning in autumn! Red maple leaves cover the historic streets β you can easily spend a morning here. Lunch at Hahndorf Inn β must-try pork knuckle + sausages π (book ahead!). Beer lovers can order a tasting flight πΊ. Visit Hahndorf Farm Barn nearby π¦ β feed deer, alpacas, milk cows, and meet farm animals π. Perfect for a family day! Day 3οΈβ£: Adelaide Farmers' Market Go on a Sunday if you can! Try the not-too-sweet donuts π© and organic coffee β. Afternoon at Glenelg Beach π β gorgeous pier, sandy shores, and a Ferris wheel π‘. Donβt miss Bottega Gelateria β amazing ice cream! π¦ Book ahead at The Moseley Beach Club for cocktails with sunset views πΉπ. Day 4οΈβ£: Victor Harbour Experience the romantic horse-drawn tram ππ β first ride at 10:30 AM, then every 20 mins. Buy tickets on-site. At the end, climb the stairs for epic ocean views and dramatic waves ππΈ. Stop by The dβArenberg Cube on the way back: $20 entry includes wine tasting π· Ground floor: quirky art exhibits π¨ Donβt miss the designed-to-impress bathrooms on the 2nd floor π Staircase covered in art and mirrors β super photogenic! Rooftop Southeast Asian restaurant π π¦ Kangaroo Island Highly recommended! We went in 2018 and were blown away by the natural beauty ποΈ. Best to take your own car on the ferry.
