Adelaide Winery|Perfect Day of Sipping & Tasting 🍷
A must-do experience in South Australia!! 🍇 Just about an hour's drive from Adelaide CBD lies one of Australia's most famous wine regions — Barossa Valley. If you have time, I'd even recommend staying overnight. 🏡 Eating, drinking, and wandering here is pure bliss 😌✨. Most wineries close by 5 PM ⏰, so it's best to head out in the morning. Have lunch at one winery, then visit one or two more in the afternoon — make the most of your tipsy day! 🥂🍷 In Australia, a full license allows up to 100ml of wine during tastings — more than enough to enjoy without overdoing it. 👍 🍷 Jacob's Creek One of the largest wineries in Barossa. You can dine and tour here. They have a big bar 🍾 and a restaurant called Harvest Kitchen. We tried the "Feed me like a Barossan" set menu — $72 per person. A fun concept (eat like a local! 🧑🌾), though portions are small: 1 entrée + 6 small dishes (a piece of meat and a few bites per dish). Not totally my taste, but the atmosphere is lovely — you can dine outdoors overlooking the lawn and vineyards 🌿🍇. 🍷 Rockford Our second stop — a small, historic winery. Heard from fellow travelers that their wine is amazing! 👏 They use traditional equipment and methods. And… it's FREE tasting! 🎉【Key point!!】 Very popular — better to book online if possible. We waited about 20 minutes ⏳. Their wines are rarely sold in bottle shops, and prices at the winery are much better. We took two bottles home 🍾 and enjoyed them with freshly caught crab that night — absolutely delicious! 🦀❤️ 🍷 Chateau Tanunda Our last stop — the oldest winery in the region, established in 1890 🏛️. They say you can find wine from your birth year here! 🎂 Sadly, we arrived too late and missed the tasting hours 😢. #WineryHopping #WineTasting #Adelaide #BarossaValley #WineLover #AustralianWinery #SipAndStay #TravelAustralia 🍷✨
