Affordable Japanese Cuisine in Seattle
๐ Rondo Japanese Kitchen ๐ฐ Average cost: $35๐ช I came here once during Labor Day but ended up facing a closed door. This time, I made a point to visit on the weekend with my girls, and it was such a pleasant surprise! Ton-katsu Teishoku My sister ordered the pork cutlet, expecting a small portion, but it was super size! It came with both BBQ and sweet and sour sauces, plus a small bowl of sesame seeds to grind yourself - a full experience. Uni & seafood creamy maze-udon Absolutely loved it! Delicious and not greasy! The creamy sauce coated every strand of udon, and the noodles had a great chew. The coral shrimp and uni were super fresh and sweet. The seafood here is quite fresh. Even as someone who doesnโt usually enjoy sashimi, I have to admit it was tasty. Matcha granola I was conquered again by the matcha ice cream! The texture was incredibly rich ๐คค with a creamy milk flavor and a rich, sweet matcha jelly. The crystal dumplings were soft and delicate, and the granola at the bottom was sweet and crispy. The whole thing wasnโt too heavy either ๐ต We also ordered a $9 mini sushi, which we thought would be large but turned out to be super mini, served in a shot glass. I found it just okay and wouldnโt recommend it. The only nitpick is that the matcha ice cream was served in a paper cup ๐ง, which seemed a bit too casual ๐. It would have looked so much better in a glass cup. #Seattle #SeattleLife #SeattleFoodExploration #JapaneseCuisine #JoinMeForADiningAdventure #SeattleFood #Uni #SeattleJapaneseFood
