African Food at Hollywood Farmers‘ Market
I’d never really tried African food before—mostly stuck to Asian or “white people food” 😂—but today I gave it a go at the Hollywood Farmers‘ Market… and WOW, was I surprised! This stuff is LEGIT delicious! 🤤 💥 Huge portions with generous meat servings 💥 Sides are flavorful and hearty 💥 Absolutely worth trying—especially if you love bold, aromatic spices! ✨ Rice Options: You can choose between multigrain rice or curry rice (or mix both!). The rice is like Indian-style long-grain—dry, fluffy, and perfectly separated 🍚❤️. ✨ Chicken Flavors: Curry: Cooked with coconut milk 🥥—perfect for mixing with rice! Spicy: Tastes like grilled BBQ with a kick 🌶️ (not too hot, just flavorful!) Sweet: Rich and savory-sweet glaze I went with spicy—super tender and juicy! 🍗 ✨ Sides: Veggies, beans, fried plantains, or potatoes 🥔 (I picked potatoes—SO good!) 🍽️ Small box: $16 (big enough for a hearty meal!) 👨🍳 The owner is super nice—if you can’t decide, he’ll let you try everything LOL! 📍 Location: Hollywood Farmers‘ Market (Sundays only) 1600 Ivar Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90028 ⏰ Hours: 8AM - 1PM Verdict: Surprisingly Asian-friendly flavors—don’t miss this gem! 🌍❤️ #LAFood #Los Angeles #FarmersMarket #FoodieFind #HiddenGem
