Alaska | Restaurant Dining Collection (2) 🍽️ 📍 Lemongrass 388 Old Chena Pump Rd Portions are generally small, but the food is delicious and pricey 💰. It seems like everything in Alaska is expensive, especially restaurants 🍴. ➡️ Pineapple Fried Rice 🍍 The rice is dry and fluffy, and the pineapple chunks are sweet. Overall delicious and recommended ✅. ➡️ Guay Tiew (Thai-style rice noodles) Generous serving of beef. The flavor is somewhat similar to Vietnamese pho. ➡️ Green Curry (with halibut / scallops / seafood) Opted for seafood, and the seafood portion was generous. The lowest spice level still has a bit of a kick. The curry isn’t as green as expected, and it’s surprisingly served in a Korean-style soup pot. ➡️ BBQ Grilled Beef / Pork The flavor is excellent, but the portion size is very small. ➡️ Chili Duck The duck skin is crispy, the meat is tender and not gamey, and the sauce is sweet and spicy. 📍 The Pump House 796 Chena Pump Rd Be sure to make a reservation online in advance. This was the most expensive meal of our trip because we ordered king crab 🦀. Per person cost: $80–100 💰. We ordered quite a lot, but it wouldn’t be as expensive without the king crab. ➡️ Chowder Soup Heavy on the cream flavor—a typical American-style seafood chowder 🍲. Generous serving of seafood, not fishy, and the temperature and texture are very comforting, especially in the cold winter. ➡️ Steamed King Crab (1 pound) The crab meat is incredibly fresh with a naturally sweet flavor. Highly recommended to try authentic Alaskan king crab 🦀. For smaller groups, you can order half a pound. The price for 1 pound is $112.95. Everyone is provided with crab cracking tools 🧰 and wet wipes for convenience. ➡️ Elk Medallions 🦌 Compared to the elk sausage I tried before, this has a more natural, gamey flavor. A true wild game experience—leaner than beef but not dry, with almost no gamey taste. Cooked perfectly to a tender consistency and wrapped in bacon 🥓. Highly recommended to try this local specialty in Alaska. ➡️ Grilled Ribeye Flavor is solid but not exceptional—similar to many steakhouse steaks. The doneness is well-controlled, and the beef quality is decent. ➡️ Seafood Risotto 🦞 Highly recommend this creamy seafood risotto—rich in cream flavor and the rice is soft. The taste is very mellow. If you’re ordering a main course, this is a must-try. ➡️ Crab Cobb Salad This salad 🥗 is a bit pricey, but the crab meat is real and the portion is substantial. ➡️ Coconut Shrimp 🍤 Crispy on the outside with a noticeable coconut fragrance. ➡️ Premium Burger The patty is thick, but nothing special. Only order if necessary. Recommend trying their desserts 🍮, although they are on the sweeter side, as is typical in American desserts. If you want a satisfying finish to your meal, a dessert is definitely a great choice. #Alaska#Fairbanks#FairbanksFood#Fairbanks
