Alaska Food Review
Alaska Food Review Donβt feel like doing homework, so Iβm sharing what I ate during spring break in Alaska πππ½οΈ βββββββββ Fairbanks: π Thai House ππππ A pretty good Thai spotβthough the beef and chicken were a bit tough π₯©π , the seasoning was authentic. Recommend the Pad Thai and curries! ππ π Aurora Crepes and Peking Duck πππ We ordered takeout from hereβas a study-abroad student, I was really craving this! Great value for the money, generous portions, and the duck wraps were super fragrant π¦π―β€οΈ. π The Crepery ππ I donβt think itβs as amazing as everyone online saysβbesides being greasy and salty, I couldnβt really taste much else π₯π¬. π Ajimi Sushi ππππππ Order the Salmon Sashimi! It was so incredibly delicious I almost cried (not exaggerating!) ππ£β€οΈ. Honestly the best salmon sashimi Iβve ever hadβwe ordered an extra portion after finishing the first, and the owner even gave us two extra pieces before closing! π₯Ήπ ββββββββββββ Anchorage: π Whiskey and Ramen π So bad, really terrible πββ¦ Asian restaurants run by Americans? Better to avoid. The ramen was way too salty and oily, and expensive too πΈπ€. π 49th State Brewing πππ Very pricey with terrible serviceβthe server had zero eye contact and didnβt notice us waving ππ. We ordered King Salmon, Yak burger, and seafood chowder. The salmon was cooked, so hard to tell if it was fresh; the yak burger was dry (but at least it was an experience π¦¬π€·); the only decent item was the seafood chowderβrich and authentic π₯£π. π Miso Japanese Sushi & Bar ππππ Didnβt order very wellβthe flavors were unique, but the chef is Japanese and the ingredients were fresh π£π―π΅. Overall, neither great nor bad. #Alaska#AlaskaTravel#AlaskaFood#Fairbanks#Anchorage#AnchorageFood#FairbanksFood πΊοΈπ΄β¨
