Albany Food | Taiwan Noodle

๐Ÿ“ Location: 218 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206 (Indeed, right across from the famous Shining Rainbow Restaurant!) Misconceptions Cleared: A small family-run shop? No! The space is spacious and tidy. Mostly about noodles? No! The menu is diverse, with a variety of clay pots, snacks, and dim sum. We visited around 1 PM on a weekend, likely past the lunch rush, so it wasnโ€™t crowded, and the food arrived quickly. ๐Ÿ’ฐ Price: Around $40 per person (and we left stuffed!) ๐Ÿœ Braised Beef Noodle Soup: The flavor was mild (on the lighter side), but the portion was generous. The noodles seemed handmade but werenโ€™t as chewy as expected (a nitpick from someone with Shaanxi noodle standards!). ๐Ÿ— Popcorn Chicken: Freshly fried, with large chunks of chickenโ€”crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, and lightly garlicky. However, the seasoned salt dip was a bit too salty. ๐Ÿ– Crispy Fried Pork Intestine: Possibly double-fried, making it a bit dry and tough. The sweet and sour sauce helped balance it. ๐ŸฅŸ Spicy and Sour Shrimp Wontons: The wontons were large and generously stuffed, though the spicy and sour sauce didnโ€™t stand out much. ๐Ÿ› Satay Beef Vermicelli Clay Pot: The beef was tender, and it came with a side of rice! ๐Ÿง‹ Original Milk Tea: Tasty, though a bit sweet. (Iced might have been more refreshing and cut through the richness.) Overall Impression: ๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ–๐ŸŒ‘ #UpstateNY #Albany #AlbanyEats #ChineseCuisine#foodguide#travelguide#Albanyguide#NewYork#NewYorkAlbany
